Father John Misty
Poster
2018
Risotrip was hired by Queremos! to design and print the poster to promote Father John Misty’s show that took place in São Paulo. We could notice his lyrics have a morbid signature humor full of irony and sarcastic tendencies, so we decided to follow this mood. He often exposes a dystopian vision of a hedonistic society endlessly addicted to entertainment and navigates dark landscapes on fame, politics, social media, environment and human nature.

︎︎︎2nd place in the 2018 Best Posters from Queremos!

The poster was riso printed in black, fluorescent pink and blue inks.

Risotrip Print Shop Co.
2015 – Present
Risotrip Print Shop Co. is a design studio and the first risograph printing press based in Rio de Janeiro, established by Daniel Bicho and Igor Arume in 2015. Focusing on artist's multiples, short-run editions and printed matter, Risotrip works in close collaboration with artists throughout the editing, design and printing stages.

Running workshops and giving talks are an important practise in Risotrip. We believe in the power of learning and collaborating with people. We had given talks to design students from the main graphic design bachelors in Rio. We had run activities together with Meli-Melo Press (São Paulo), Pipoca Press, Quinta-feira Design, Lord Mantraste (Portugal) and Paula Cruz & Leandro Assis.

Risotrip was featured in the book Risomania: The new spirit of printing︎︎ by Vetro Editions, released worldwide in French, English and Spanish.

Our color chart was displayed in the expo Colors Unite!︎︎ curated by studio We Make It at the Jan van Eyck Academie (NL) during the Magical Riso Expert Meeting (2016 and 2018), PrintRoom Rotterdam (2016) and at the Unfold Shangai Art Book Fair (2018).

Our work was displayed in the expo The Riso Museum︎︎, curated by studio Woolly Press in the USA (2016 and 2017) and in Italy at the Torino Graphic Days︎︎ festival (2017).

Risotrip has been selected for the Magical Riso Art Book Fair︎︎ (2018) in the Netherlands and the main art book fairs in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo like Plana Art Book Fair, Tijuana Fair and Pãodeforma.
